PRIVACY POLICY
Your connections. Your context. Your control.
Bandham is built to help you strengthen your relationships while giving you clear choices about the information you keep, share, and store.
This Privacy Policy explains how Bandham handles information when you use the Bandham app, website, and related support services.
Information you provide
Depending on the features you use, information may include:
Optional account information
People you add to Bandham
Contact information you choose to import
Relationship notes
Important dates
Interaction history
Reminder preferences
Groups
Goals
Custom message templates
Information you provide when contacting Bandham support
Bandham uses this information to provide the features you choose to use.
Where your relationship information is stored
Your Bandham contacts, relationship notes, important dates, interaction history, groups, custom message templates, and related preferences are currently stored locally in the app on your device. In the browser version, local records are stored in that browser.
Bandham does not currently provide automatic cloud backup or cross-device sync for these records. Signing in does not upload them into an account backup. Account authentication and subscription services process separate information as explained below.
Your device’s backup or transfer services may handle app data according to their settings and policies. These are separate from Bandham’s features, and we cannot guarantee that a backup or transfer will restore your records.
Deleting the app or its local data, clearing browser storage, or losing access to your device may make locally stored information unavailable or unrecoverable.
Device and diagnostic information
Services used for sign-in, subscription management, and hosting may process technical information needed to operate and secure those services, such as device or browser details, service identifiers, and request or error logs. If you contact support, we receive the information you choose to include, such as your email address, app version, or screenshots.
Avoid including private relationship notes or other people’s information in support messages unless necessary to explain your issue.
How information is used
Bandham uses information as necessary to provide and improve features including:
Relationship reminders
Interaction history
Notes and important dates
Groups
Goals
Smart suggestions
Bandham Pro features
Authentication
Subscription access
Customer support
App security
Troubleshooting and reliability
Compliance with applicable legal obligations
Bandham does not automatically send messages to the people you add. You choose when and how to contact them.
Text messages
When you choose to text someone, Bandham passes their phone number and any message you selected or wrote to your device’s messaging interface. You decide whether to send it. Bandham does not send messages automatically or read your existing message conversations.
Bandham can record a text interaction when the messaging interface reports that it was sent, or after you confirm sending when that status is unavailable. An interaction log is not proof that the recipient received or read a message. Your messaging provider or mobile carrier handles delivery under its own terms. If you use a copy-message feature, the message is placed on your device clipboard.
Contacts and device permissions
If you choose to import people, Bandham requests access to your device contacts. With permission, it reads the contacts made available by your device so you can choose whom to add. Only the people you select are saved as Bandham contacts.
The current importer saves a selected person’s name, first available phone number if present, and device-contact identifier used to recognize imports. Bandham does not upload your address book to its application server as part of this import process.
You can revoke contact access in device settings. Revoking permission does not remove information you already imported; remove those records within Bandham.
Bandham also requests notification permission if you enable reminders. These reminders are scheduled locally. You can manage notification permission in device settings. Birthday and anniversary alerts may display a contact’s name, depending on your device’s notification-preview settings.
Information about other people
Bandham lets you save information about people you know. Adding someone does not send them a notification or give them a Bandham login that can access your notes. However, information may be visible to someone with access to your unlocked device, browser, notifications, backups, or anything you choose to share.
Only enter information you have a lawful reason to keep. Avoid unnecessary sensitive information about other people.
Accounts and sign-in
You can use Bandham’s core features without an account. Optional sign-in is provided through Clerk and the sign-in provider you choose, such as Apple or Google. These services process information needed to authenticate you, such as an account identifier, sign-in details, and profile information made available by that provider.
Signing in does not currently back up or sync your locally stored relationship records. Signing out or deleting your sign-in account does not erase them. They remain accessible in Bandham’s guest mode on that device.
Bandham Pro and subscriptions
Bandham offers optional paid subscription features through Bandham Pro.
Purchases made through the Apple App Store are processed and managed by Apple through your Apple ID.
Bandham does not receive your full payment-card information from Apple.
Bandham may receive information necessary to determine your subscription status and provide access to Bandham Pro.
Bandham uses RevenueCat to verify purchases and manage access to Bandham Pro. RevenueCat processes an app-user identifier and information about purchases, subscriptions, and access rights, along with technical information needed to provide that service. A subscription identifier can exist even if you use Bandham without creating a sign-in account.
Apple and RevenueCat process information according to their respective privacy practices.
Deleting a Bandham sign-in account does not automatically delete purchase records held by Apple, Google, or RevenueCat, and does not cancel a subscription.
Subscriptions can be managed or canceled through your Apple account settings.
For Android versions of Bandham, purchases may be processed through Google Play and will be subject to Google’s applicable payment and privacy practices.
Service providers
Bandham may use third-party service providers to perform specific functions such as:
Authentication
Subscription management
App hosting or infrastructure
Diagnostics and troubleshooting
Customer support
Security and reliability
These providers may receive information necessary to perform the services they provide.
Bandham expects service providers handling personal information on its behalf to use appropriate protections and handle that information in accordance with applicable privacy requirements.
Bandham does not sell personal information to advertisers.
Advertising
Bandham does not use your relationship information to build advertising profiles.
Bandham does not sell your personal relationship information to advertisers.
If Bandham’s advertising or data-use practices change in the future, this Privacy Policy will be updated before those changes are implemented where required.
Retention and deletion
Different types of information may be retained differently.
You can edit or delete contacts and interaction records using the app’s controls. Deleting a contact does not necessarily reset your progress, achievements, or limited local identifiers used to prevent repeat reward claims. Those identifiers can include hashed phone numbers or device-contact identifiers; hashing does not make them necessarily anonymous.
Deleting your sign-in account is separate from deleting local app records. Removing local data does not necessarily erase information retained in device backups, your messaging app, or purchase records maintained by service providers.
Account information and other information processed by Bandham or its service providers may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to:
Provide the service
Maintain security
Resolve disputes
Prevent fraud or abuse
Meet legal or regulatory obligations
You may initiate deletion of your Bandham account through the app.
You may also request assistance with account deletion through Bandham Support.
Where required, information may be retained for a limited period after a deletion request for legal, security, fraud-prevention, or technical backup purposes.
Account deletion
Bandham provides a way to initiate account deletion from within the app.
Users may also visit:
for information about deleting their Bandham account and associated account data.
Account deletion and subscription cancellation are separate actions.
Deleting your Bandham account does not automatically cancel an Apple App Store or Google Play subscription.
Active subscriptions must be managed through the applicable Apple or Google account settings.
Security
Bandham uses technical safeguards intended to protect information. In the current native app, contact and interaction records are encrypted in local storage, with the encryption key protected using the device’s secure storage. This is not a claim that every app setting or browser-stored record uses the same encryption.
No storage or transmission method is completely secure. Protect your device, account credentials, and backups, and use your device’s screen-lock controls.
Your choices and privacy rights
Depending on the features you use, you may be able to:
Add, update, or remove information within Bandham
Manage contact permission through your device settings
Manage notification permission through your device settings
Manage or cancel subscriptions through Apple or Google
Initiate account deletion
Contact Bandham about privacy questions or requests
Depending on where you live, applicable law may provide additional rights related to your personal information.
These may include rights to request access, correction, deletion, or information about how certain personal information is used.

Children’s privacy
Bandham is not intended for children under the minimum age permitted by Bandham’s Terms of Service and applicable law.
Bandham does not knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law.
If Bandham learns that personal information has been collected from a child in circumstances where parental consent or another legal basis was required and was not obtained, Bandham will take appropriate steps to delete that information.
Legal disclosures
Bandham may disclose information where reasonably necessary to:
Comply with applicable law, legal process, or government requests
Protect the rights, safety, or security of Bandham, its users, or others
Investigate fraud, abuse, or security incidents
Enforce applicable agreements
Complete a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate protections
Changes to this policy
Bandham may update this Privacy Policy as the app and its features evolve.
When this policy is updated, the “Last updated” date at the top of this page will be revised.
If changes materially affect how personal information is handled, Bandham will provide additional notice where required by applicable law.
